• Clean Tankers – The clean market in the U.S. Gulf remains soft. A persistent glut of prompt tonnage is forcing owners to chase cargoes aggressively. Flows into Latin America and the U.S. East Coast continue, but are not enough to rebalance the list. Market tone is weak, and rate ideas are under pressure.
• Crude Tankers – VLCCs remain routed via the Cape of Good Hope, keeping global tonnage supply constrained. Despite some softening in inquiry, the extended voyages are maintaining a firm floor for rates, especially on Middle East–Asia lanes. Market remains structurally tight but sensitive to demand dips.
• LNG Shipping – Atlantic Basin LNG freight remains strong. Weather disruptions and limited vessel availability are sustaining high rates. Market is tight, with few signs of immediate relief as seasonal demand builds into Q4.
• Overall View – Crude and LNG freight markets continue to benefit from structural inefficiencies and tight tonnage, while clean tankers face headwinds from oversupply and tepid demand. Unless export programs pick up meaningfully, clean rates may continue to grind lower.
